Balblair 2002 Whisky

Balblair 2002 Whisky

Each Balblair Vintage captures the essence of its year in a bottle. They’re only ever selected at the absolute peak of perfection. Handpicked, to represent the very best that the Distillery has to offer. You’ll notice the bottles are not marked with an age statement, but simply with the year that the whisky was laid down. From then, every cask is sampled, judged and selected by John MacDonald to find its optimum maturation point. The point at which each Vintage says it’s ready.

Released in July 2012, the 2002 displays signature Balblair aromas; floral and fragrant with zesty fruits such as oranges and lemons. Distilled in 2002 and bottled in 2012.

Appearance: Sparkling gold in colour.
Aroma: The American oak, ex-bourbon barrels used in maturation impart toffee and vanilla notes.
Palate: On the palate it is full bodied, yet sweet and spicy in character, with hints of oranges, lemons, green apples, toffee and vanilla.
Finish: A long, fresh finish.
